Spreading the Spiritual Virus In my life, I don't want to be a victim, and I don't want to be a tragedy. I want triumph-spiritual triumph-with humility and grace, beauty, elegance, and excellence. . . . Deborah told me that Mother Teresa once said, "You don't have to be Mother Teresa and do it the way I do it. Just do it wherever you are, whoever you are." You don't have to be able to heal or clean leprosy or feed the poor in Calcutta. Whoever you are, just do it in your own time, on your own block, in your own district. Deborah and I can only react and respond to my heart and to her heart. We have been given so many blessings. And so for us, it's a joy to be of service, and we're just starting: we're just rolling up our sleeves. People can really live their truth according to their immediate passion for life. Hmmm…You are so totally right! In fact CS is one of the few musicians that I loved back in the day, whose work sounds just as new and just as great now.

Seven years ago I was of the opinion that personal, community, and government isssues of all kinds were beyond individuals to influence. The most one could do was to direct someone to some small corner of the help universe.
For some of us just realizing that we need a change and that change can be made, is the first step to major change. That realization is the corner stone of one's future. That idea that lies secluded in your spirit is the rain drop to a major pond. The time for you to start it's decent to join the others is always here. Remember a rain drop asks not where to fall, it grows with others, then they abondon themselves to the conditions and start the journey. Looking for a place to “land” can become the first step to paralysis and stagnation.
Seven or so years, a new publicly recognized, activated, empowered, community non-profit , directing it's energy towards developing neighbourhood employment, family involvment, child and youth empowerment and involvement, and crime prevention, is alive and kicking using the ideas, the writing skills, and the million dollar fundraising results, of someone, the group, the community, who were negative. For a life time I couldn't write a sentence to influence at soul. I am most like you, no recognized name, nor anything else just a desire to make a small difference before I too am recycled.
Take the first step, it works. The only thing that quelches the fire in your soul is the satisfaciton of accomplishment. For every negative occurrence you perceive as putting out that flame, you will always find the ember of a need to actualize this idea somewhere in yourself.
